We are taking a church-wide field trip to Crystal Cave on August 23 after church. All members and friends are welcome to join us on our exploration of Crystal Cave. Families and individuals are encouraged to bring a lunch along for the journey. We hope to arrive at Crystal Cave around 11:30 or 12 pm. After our arrival we will have lunch at the cave’s picnic pavilion and then go on a guided tour of the cave together. The Cave is located at 963 Crystal Cave Road; Kutztown, PA. Directions are at www.crystalcavepa.com. The Christian Education Committee hopes all of Pleasantville’s members and friends will join us on our cave excursion.

Each summer, many of the children at the shelter go to local summer programs so parents can work.  Campers need to bring lunch and snacks with them and very often the children from the shelter go empty handed.  We would like to collect items for these children from now until mid-August.  Some suggested food items: juice packs, granola and cereal bars, peanut butter and cracker packs, fruit cups, raisins, chips, cookies, and pretzels in single serve packs, large jars of peanut butter and jelly to make sandwiches.  A box for donations will be on the stage in Lentz Hall.

The Pleasantville Supper Club will meet on Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m. The Supper Club gatherings are a chance to share good food and conversation and to meet other members of Pleasantville Church.  You may sign up by yourself, or with a "cooking/dining partner" (spouse or friend). New faces are always welcome at the Supper Club!
